A Great Mexican Restaurant in the Heart of Leavenworth!

South in Leavenworth was a great find during our visit to this charming Bavarian-style town! If you are exploring Leavenworth and looking for a good Mexican restaurant with flavorful food and reasonable prices, I would definitely recommend checking this place out.

We ordered a variety of dishes, and there was plenty to enjoy. The tacos were a highlight, served with generous toppings of shredded purple cabbage and accompanied by tortilla chips and a colorful cabbage slaw. The quesadillas were nicely toasted with a golden, slightly crisp exterior. We also tried the chicken and rice, which made for a simple, satisfying meal. The plates featuring shredded meat, seasoned rice, beans, and fresh pico de gallo were hearty and nicely portioned.

The tortilla soup was another appealing option, served with tortilla chips, avocado, fresh cilantro, and diced vegetables. I also loved the salsa selection, with both red and green salsa to go with the chips. The grilled green peppers were a nice addition to the table as well. Overall, the menu offers a good variety of Mexican favorites, from tacos and quesadillas to burritos, rice plates, and soups, so there is something for different appetites.

The restaurant has a warm, casual atmosphere with wooden tables and comfortable seating, making it a nice place for families and groups to enjoy a meal together. What makes it even better is that the pricing feels reasonable, especially in a popular tourist destination like Leavenworth, where dining out can get expensive.

It's Latin not Mexican!  1st, oh yes order the chips with salsa sampler....flour and corn chips with 6 different dip flavors!  I had the fish tacos, very good.  Added the black beans and rice, nice compliment.  My server, Camryn, was super at suggestions and her service was excellent! This is a great restaurant with good food and great service. I liked the variety of vegetarian options. I had the guacaritto with sweet potato and it was amazing but huge. I get to enjoy it for two meals.

We have gone here numerous times the food has always been good and reasonably priced. Each time we have gone the service has been slow and not very attentive. Bartenders are always super friendly and outgoing but our table server took almost 1/2 the meal to bring us our drinks. Then had to wait a good amount of time just to get our check.
